How to play
- Fishing: Cast your line, wait for the bite and strike at the right moment. Big fish put up a fight.
- Breeding: A pair produces offspring. Every fish has its own genes – with a little luck the next one grows even bigger.
- Expanding: Buy new species, better rods and bait, and unlock bigger ponds – from a garden pond all the way to a swimming lake.
- Discovering: 11 fish species, weather and times of day that follow the real clock, and ducks that bring you a fish every now and then.

Gene Pond is still in beta. There may still be bugs, and prices, times and rewards may change before the final version.
Gene Pond is free and contains no ads. Your progress is stored only on your device – there is no account and no sign-up.
It plays best on your phone. Tip: add the game to your home screen via the browser menu and it will start like an app.
